School Daze
It's hard to believe I'll be done 12 school semesters and 6 co-op placements at the end of December. It's been a long -- but fun -- ride and it's almost done. I only have four classes this fall (one of them is the project) so I might work during the semester. What's coming after that? I can't really say for sure. My official position at the moment is that I'm "keeping my options open". Posted at July 30, 2003 at 10:51 AM ESTLast updated July 30, 2003 at 10:51 AM EST Comments
Damn. You've got a super nice schedule! *ahem* TRAVEL! TRAVEL! TRAVEL! » Posted by: roy at July 30, 2003 09:43 PMNot a lot of options in January for travel, if you want to be somewhere warm. There's south and ... south. Like Mexico/Cuba or Australia/New Zealand. I may work for a bit and then travel in the summer. » Posted by: Ryan at July 31, 2003 02:53 AMWinter is better to travel, trust me.... Asia is great that time of year, cooler that now (38 and 93% humidity), Australia is better, NZ is great, and so is South America (Peru, Equador, Basil, etc...) There aren't many places with better weather than Canada in June-August. T. » Posted by: Travis at July 31, 2003 05:58 AMAgreed. Arik and I did our travels in Jan. and Feb and ppl thought we were crazy for going to Europe in winter. But really, it's a heluva lot better weather over there, and since its low season, things are cheaper and staying in hostels/hotels is soooo easy since you're not competing with a gazillion tourists. » Posted by: roy at July 31, 2003 12:22 PMI'd rather be able to walk around outside (and maybe even sleep outside in a pinch). If I went back to Europe, it would definitely be in the spring/summer. » Posted by: Ryan at July 31, 2003 12:24 PM |
