Software Politics
Yeah, not much here for a bit. I've been resting my brain this long weekend (Happy Birthday Canada) and reading a lot about the RSS v. Echo stuff. I don't have much to add on the debate though, I'm just an observer -- I've merely scratched the surface. It's kind of like watching a fight after the bars let out. You want to get as close as you can to see the action but not so close that you get socked in the nose. People find it strange that political issues seem to be dominating the discussion. I don't. Engineers seem to forget pretty quickly that software has a lot to do with politics and their managers insulate them from it every day. Now that they are knee deep in politics it seems as though they don't know how to deal with it efficiently. Posted at June 30, 2003 at 01:13 PM ESTLast updated June 30, 2003 at 01:13 PM EST Comments

I'm totally not interested in the debate, myself (though the politics get me reading the comments for personal shots--rubbernecking, really). Mark's latest antics are mildly annoying because it drags his reader-community into a conversation that we've (or, at least, I've) enjoyed being shielded from. Oh, well. » Posted by: Ken Walker at July 2, 2003 02:00 PMThanks Ken. :) » Posted by: Ryan at July 2, 2003 02:16 PMWhere can I follow up for more information » Posted by: Stephany J at November 6, 2004 11:38 PM |
