The Sound of Silence

I turned off every machine in the room and only have my iBook running. It's so quiet in here I can hear the wall clock ticking. I didn't realise it was so loud.

... it's annoying.

I know exactly what you mean. One of these days I'm going to just pad all my pcs with foam to cut down on the noise.

The frustrating thing for me is that it's not even fan-noise that bothers me, it's the noise from the HDs that keeps me up at night! :( (it's higher-pitched, otherwise I'd be able to ignore it).

where's this year of the laptop that jobs promised us? were're already 4 month in and nothing that interesting ... can't wait to be rid of the mainframe...

i like the idea of a flat-panel with a laptop, keyboard and mouse
