Too lazy to make comments about them, but I read some good articles today: Part 2 of the inteview with Mike Davidson of ESPN Last updated March 29, 2003 at 06:10 PM EST Comments
I can comment on the "Psychology of Programming" I agree with not interupting the programmers. I have a feeling that this applies to all people that need to concentrate. Every time you interupt them and break their rythm, they have to start over. I am sure that this is true in science and other forms of engineering as well. As for the shower, that sounds like a great idea. I do all my best thinking there... If I could convince my employer (whoever they may be) to make my workspace a shower, I would be so, so happy. Clean too... (hee hee... and I would produce "clean" code too. ;-) ) » Posted by: Jimbo Jones at March 29, 2003 07:28 PMRe: "Psychology of Programming" I did my best programming getting huddled up in a corner cubicle, lights dim, hood on, headphones on, and a massive playlist. I can go for hours and hours. Game, set, match. I truly believe ambiance has a lot to do with it. Now as for programming being creative. Have you ever seen aDam program?!? I'm always so impressed. The most creative programmer I've ever met. Hands down. School is anti-creative in my opinion. I always felt like a knowledge whore getting pimped. Not much freedom. » Posted by: roy at March 30, 2003 01:31 AM |
